How to Nominate
- Identify your nominee. Think of a colleague, team member, or industry peer who deserves recognition for one of the awards below. Members are not allowed to self-nominate.
- Submit your nomination. Complete the online nomination form by November 15th. You can nominate for more than one award on a single form.
- Nominee application. Once nominated, the individual will receive an application from RGA Staff to complete. Nominees must submit applications by December 15th.
- Selection. The Awards Committee will carefully review all nominations and applications to select the winners, who will be recognized at the February 2027 luncheon.
Awards Open for Nomination
All REALTOR® award nominees must hold REALTOR® membership in good standing with RGA, a State Association and NAR.
REALTOR® of the Year
RGA's top honor, presented to an RGA REALTOR® who has served the real estate profession through outstanding service. Nominees must have a minimum of six transactions per year, and a previous RGA REALTOR® of the Year cannot win again within three years.
Judged on REALTOR® spirit, civic activity, business accomplishments, and local, state and national association involvement, with RGA involvement weighted most heavily (50%).
RGA REALTOR® of the Year for GAR REALTOR® of the Year
Selects RGA's representative for the Georgia Association of REALTORS® (GAR) "REALTOR® of the Year" award. Nominees must be a current or past RGA REALTOR® of the Year.
State association activity is weighted most heavily (50%). The current GAR President, President-Elect, and Immediate Past President are not eligible.
REALTOR® Spirit Award
Recognizes the RGA REALTOR® who consistently shows a positive attitude and a willingness to support other REALTORS® and RGA through their actions, words, and efforts. The recipient lives out "The Golden Rule," has strong professional ethics, and goes above and beyond to encourage other members to support RGA.
Good Neighbor Award
Recognizes a REALTOR® who has made an extraordinary impact on their community through personal volunteer work with a 501(c)(3) non-profit. It honors individual contributions of time, money, or other resources, not association or company projects.
The recipient is automatically submitted as RGA's representative for the GAR Good Neighbor Award.
Broker/Manager of the Year
Recognizes the outstanding leadership, expertise, community involvement, and dedication of a broker or manager who has made significant contributions to their team, their clients, and RGA. A previous winner cannot win again within three years.
Affiliate of the Year
Recognizes an affiliate member (an individual or business that supports RGA but does not hold a real estate license) who has shown outstanding professionalism, leadership, and commitment to RGA. Ideal nominees are in good standing with RGA and a State Association, regularly attend RGA events, support our REALTOR® members, and build lasting relationships within the industry.
Additional Awards Presented
These awards are also presented at the February luncheon but are not part of the nomination process.
- Rookie of the Year: recognizes the REALTOR® member who closed the most side transactions during the calendar year as a new licensee.
- President's Award: the RGA President selects the recipient, who must be a member of RGA.
- Cornerstone Award: recognizes members who have held real estate licenses for the longest number of years.
